Molybdenum prices see temporary improvement, but will likely remain subdued for remainder of 2019: Molybdenum Highlights


The ferro-molybdenum market in Europe slumped about 20% in October and oxide collapsed around 25% by mid-November as suppliers sold off to clear inventory against weakening steel markets.

European molybdenum prices jumped on increased trader buying interest during the week of the Fastmarkets’ International Ferroalloys conference in Budapest in mid-November. Higher oxide prices in Asia have pulled up European prices, with alloy prices tracking oxide higher.
