Head of Base Metals and Battery Research

Involved in the metals market since 1986, William runs our research team for battery metals and overseas research for base and precious metals. Starting out at Fastmarkets as head of research for TheBullionDesk and BaseMetals.com he became Head of Base Metals and Battery research as this team merged with the Fastmarkets MB research team.

Prior to working at Fastmarkets William worked at Rudolf Wolf & Co Ltd, one of the founding members of the London Metal Exchange, in London, New York and Tokyo where he gained broad insight of the metals markets. This experience included trading base metals, bullion and foreign exchange, head of research and an account executive before becoming the managing director of the company’s Tokyo office.

William brings a wealth of metals market knowledge and experience to our battery coverage in both the products we produce and speaking at numerous industry conferences on battery raw materials and base metals.
