While global markets appear to be undergoing a relief bounce early this week on hopes of coordinated fiscal and monetary stimulus, that is far from a foregone conclusion at this stage. Aluminium: Dip buying providing brief respite
Aluminium prices briefly dropped below the $1,700 per tonne level last week, but have rebounded early this week amid dip-buying and short-covering. However, aluminium’s gains so far are somewhat lagging relative to its peers, which, ominously, may be a warning that there is not the appetite in this market for a stronger rebound yet.
