Demand Analysis:Coronavirus situation shows signs of improvement... As of 10pm Beijing time February 24, total officially confirmed coronavirus cases in China were 77,269, up 423 from previous day and total recovery increased by 1,947 cases to 24,854 and total deaths were 2,596 cases, up 151 from the day prior. Overall, the situation appears to be showing tentative signs of improvement within the country. Beyond the entertainment industries, which have been badly hit by the coronavirus outbreak, the automotive industry is also taking a serious hit as Hubei province is an important supplier of automobile parts. According to the International Trade Centre's data, Japanese imports of automobiles parts from China totalled $3 billion in 2019, up tenfold from 2003's level, when the SARS breakout happened. Imports from China accounted for 37% of Japan's total imports, more than its imports from the USA. Japanese car producers, Nissan, has around 800 automobile parts...
