Carbon Products: Indian domestic demand growth flattens


Domestic demand for CPC has flattened off over the past year, as Indian aluminium output has stabilised, after several years of rapid growth, and this alone is also impacting the pricing of domestic CPC.

Calcined coke import tax to be slashed in budget proposals Recent budget proposals announced in India include the reduction of the import tax payable of calcined petroleum coke from 10% to 7.5%. The domestic refining sector is not happy with this, claiming that it will pressure their own CPC margins.
