China continued to import merchant iron metallics: Latest Analysis

In October, the first month of the latest “winter cuts” in China, the gap between iron and steel production widened only slightly, by 472,000 tonnes to 15.94 million tonnes.

China continued to import merchant iron metallics, and to a lesser extent – semi-finished steel, in October, recent customs data shows.
