The Chinese central bank – the People's Bank of China (PBoC) – recently cut the reserve requirement ratio (RRR) by 50 basis points and the European Central Bank (ECB) also cut its deposit rate to a record low of minus 0.5 percent and restarted its 2.6 trillion quantitative easing programme of bond buying.
