US aluminium semi-product exports down 15.62% y-o-y in April 2019
According to the latest data from the US Geological Survey (USGS), the country's exports of aluminium semi-finished products declined by 14,700 tonnes or 15.62% y-o-y to 79,400 tonnes in April 2019. On a month-on-month basis, the export volume increased 4.75% from March's 75,800 tonnes. Total exports of semi-finished products were 306,000 tonnes for the first four months of this year, compared with 364,000 tonnes in the same time period of 2018, a drop of 15.93% or 58,000 tonnes in absolute term.

The country's export to Mexico in the first four months came in at 136,000 tonnes, and that of April was 36,600 tonnes, compared with 43,700 tonnes in April 2018. Exports to Canada stood at 27,400 tonnes in April 2019 and exports to China stood at 2,580 tonnes,...
