Aluminium consumption in China to enter weak season in Jan-Feb
A total of RMB 1.39 trillion local government bonds authorized by the National Peoples Congress will be issued ahead of the original plan, and this is expected to smooth out the seasonal impact on the aluminium demand. But considering the Chinas Lunar New Year sits in early February and also due to the unfavourable weather condition in winter, we believe downstream producers will scale down their operations and therefore aluminium consumption in China will enter the weak season in January-February.
