Markets begin to diverge but stability expected until summer: Latest Analysis

It is in the USA, the originating country of recent trade protectionism, that the market appears strongest.

We highlighted on our front page last month the effects that growing trade protectionism were having on markets and the discussion that they were generating among market participants. As May approaches, some early consequences are being seen. The stainless steel market appears less global, with markets in Asia, Europe, and the USA offering up increasingly different outlooks.
