The price downturn lingers: Iron Ore Market Analysis
Uncertainty regarding global trade policy is having an impact on iron ore market sentiment.
The iron ore price plunge continued last week. Iron ore fines and pellet prices fell for the fourth week in a row and, in the course of a month, the fines benchmark shed 18%. Metal Bulletins 62% Fe fines benchmark settled at $64.40 per tonne on average the week ending Friday 30 March. This drop of $14.57 since the first week of March represents a significant fall that was mirrored in both pellet and concentrate prices.
