Successful price hikes for hot dipped galvanised material: American Market Highlights


Prices in the US domestic market are up 1% over the past week due to successful price increases.

Following weeks of falling prices across the steel markets in North America, mills have finally been able to stem the tide and regain some stability to the price of hot dipped galvanised material. Prices in the US domestic market are up 1% over the past week due to successful price increases implemented by US mills. The latest increases are still only dwarfed by the market falls over the past two months, September prices for US hot dipped galvanised material were at $992/tonne (in which prices hit a high of $1,003/tonne) but, mills are only able to lure buyers back into the market with offers as low as $965/tonne for this month.
