European market activity picks up, prices up 13%: Ferro-chrome Highlights

While the Chinese market remains largely stable, the often dull spot market of Europe has raised interest in recent weeks.

Chinese chrome ore and alloy prices have seen little change over the past month. Imported charge chrome prices remain at $0.69 per lb chrome contained cif China, while UG2 ore imported from South Africa is also stable at $135 per tonne cif China. Where there have been price movements, prices changes are largely being attributed to the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.
