European prices continue to slump: Scrap Highlights


Last month we highlighted that European prices of grade 304 scrap were priced at just under 60% of the equivalent value of the primary raw materials contained within the scrap (i.e. chrome, nickel and iron). That value has now fallen to more like 55% meaning that stainless steel scrap has become even cheaper relative to primary raw materials.
