For both ERW linepipe, demand is relatively stable with demand for connecting lines associated with new pipeline projects coming into the market.

ERW pricing still under pressure
October pricing for ERW linepipe and OCTG largely declined as supplies outweigh demand and cost pressures continued to recede. ERW lilnepipe prices fell $15/tonne this month of domestic material and $20/tonne for import offers. OCTG pricing faired similarly with import pricing slightly weaker than domestic, but both continuing to fall. The magnitude of the decline was also dependent on the grade of pipe with J55 material pricing falling by as much as $25/tonne as very low offers were floated by mills to move tonnage.

For both ERW linepipe, demand is relatively stable with demand for connecting lines associated with new pipeline projects coming into the market. Imports for the under-16” sizes are down from year-ago, but domestic supplies are plentiful and producers are willing to cut pricing to make deals.
