New suppliers increase competition in Europe, offsetting impact of regional production cuts: Ferro-silicon Highlights


Domestic Chinese ferro-silicon prices have been steady after producers cut production of 75% grade material amid slow demand while output of in the country was also affected by environmental checks ahead of the National Day holiday (October 1-7).

Chinese ferro-silicon export prices have declined over the past month amid persistently weak demand and against aggressive offers from other Asian suppliers. The last price assessment for ferro-silicon 75% Si min export, fob China was $1,100-1,130 per tonne, down from $1,130-1,150 per tonne last month.
