Seaborne coking coal prices decline for eighth week in a row: Coking Coal and Coke Market Analysis
PHCC premiums over and above second-tier coking coals have come under pressure, as our first chart alongside illustrates.
Seaborne coking coal prices continued to decline across the board last week. It was the eighth consecutive week of price declines apart from a small uptick in the cfr Jingtang PHCC index in mid-June. Fastmarkets daily indices fell by $0.71 to $7.54 per tonne on average in the week ending Friday July 26, depending on grades and incoterms.
