Pressure on coking coal prices remains: Coking Coal and Coke Market Analysis
News of yet another port restrictions have made headlines this week.
Seaborne coking coal prices continued to decline across the board last week. Fastmarkets daily indices fell by $0.86 to $3.03 per tonne on average in the week ending Friday July 12, depending on grades and incoterms. Premium hard coking coal (PHCC) prices fell sharper than hard coking coal (HCC) prices last week. Price losses over the last three weeks brought indices to their lowest levels since late July early August 2018.
