Aleris reported an increase of 128% yoy in its Asian aerospace shipments during Q1. Overall numbers for material coming out of the company’s Chinese rolling mill are still small – Q1 019 volumes totalled 8.7kt, up from 6.4kt in Q1 2018. However, the shift away from commercial plate into aerospace plate, played a role in lifting EBITDA per tonne from $334/tonne in Q1 2018 to $991/tonne in Q1 2019....
