Fundamentals looking less bullish: Nickel Highlights

So far this year, global refined production growth reportedly accelerated to 6.8% year-on-year in January-February from 6.1% in 2018, while demand slowed to 1.4% from 6.4% last year.

The latest data from the INSG was published last week. Recent reports have shown much narrower monthly market deficits than we had become used to throughout 2017 and most of 2018. And that theme continues. The global deficit was 2,000 tonnes in February, and the January deficit was a revised 3,700 tonnes. Supply and demand saw incremental declines in both months.
