China's March aluminium production down 3.6% from Jan-Feb average.

LME aluminium drifted lower last week The LME aluminium price, like the rest of its peers, drifted lower last week while global risk off sentiment gripped the base metals complex. The LME aluminium cash price was trading consistently below the $1850 per tonne mark and the weekly average cash price was down 0.5% to $1840.5 from previous week's $1850.5 per tonne. China's March aluminium production down 3.6% from Jan-Feb average According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the country's total aluminium production in March 2019 was 2.88 million tonnes, or 92,903 tonnes per day. While it was 3.8% up from the same time period in 2018, it was down 3.6% when compared with January-February's daily average of 96,407 tonnes per day and was the lowest level since last October's daily production of 87,600 tonnes per day.
