Manganese alloy price ceiling may be approaching: Ferro-alloy Market Analysis

A combination of continued strong steel demand and weather-related logistics issues has helped to boost US manganese alloy prices over the past month.

Last few weeks saw most alloy prices moving higher on the back of manganese ore price fluctuations, although the momentum is to be short-lived. After moving up toward the end of March amid increased demand from China, Fastmarkets MB’s 44% manganese ore index cif Tianjin reversed course to $6.43 per dmtu in the week ending April 5 as fundamentals started to wane.
