Manganese ore prices are set to be further daunted by weaker alloy prices

Despite buying activity gaining pace and manganese ore prices firming, downside risks persist. Market sentiment in the Chinese manganese ore and alloy markets has been buoyed by increased production rates at steel mills seen until mid-February, and further elevated by resumption in trading activity after Lunar New Year as restocking began.
