Molybdenum price recovery feared to be only temporary: Molybdenum Highlights


The alloy market is back up to a level last seen at the end of last year when spot prices were as much as $29.40 per kg in-warehouse.

European molybdenum prices jumped on renewed demand in February, with both oxide and alloy prices benefiting. However, while oxide is increasing on higher Asian prices against an outlook of no new production worldwide this year, there are doubts as to how long any rally in alloy may be sustained given that Rotterdam warehouse supplies are reported to be ample.
