Prices dip ahead of expected coking coal price decline: Coking Coal and Coke Market Analysis


Unlike premium hard coking coal, second-tier seaborne material fob DBCT has so far resisted the price decline seen in other coking coal segments.

Coking coal prices showed less volatile movements than the iron ore market in the past week but have nevertheless been impacted by the bearishness in the Chinese steel markets. Having risen between 23% and 30% from August to November, first- and second-tier material resisted the recent decline in the Chinese ferrous market and kept climbing.
