Flattening demand poses downside risk to rising stainless prices: Stainless Steel Highlights


US domestic stainless steel prices mostly trended upward this month thanks to higher surcharges.

Following a steady to lower approach in last few weeks, Chinese stainless steel mills managed to raise offers slightly this week on the back of low inventory levels. Latest data suggests Wuxi’s inventory levels for 300-series stainless flat steel were 147,000 tonnes in late November, down 19,000 tonnes from two weeks earlier.
