Q4 tinplate prices heading up in Asia: Latest analysis


For now the EU enjoys greater protection against its biggest import threat, China, which accounted for some 60% of imports into the region during the first half of this year.

After the previous 2-3 months of price increases, global carbon steel markets may now be facing a turning point. With respect to galvanized steel in particular, prices in the USA have turned down over recent weeks while those in Europe have stabilized, in spite of talks about increases from the region’s major producers.
