US scrap price negotiations this month revealed price increases ranging between $25-35/l.ton: Latest Analysis
Reduced crude steel output in China along with delinking levels of finished steel product inventories, suggest underlying demand is improving
MBR's Steel Raw Materials Index increased markedly this week, rising 2.81% week-on-week owing to firm scrap price hikes in the USA and Asia, and modest increases in iron and coking coal prices. Similarly, MBRs Global Steel Price Index rose marginally this week, garnering support from higher Chinese domestic finished steel prices.
