MBR’s Steel Raw Material’s Index stooped 1.0% lower last week: Latest Analysis
US scrap prices fell as mills continued to reduce utilisation rates.
MBRs Steel Raw Materials Index stooped 1.0% lower last week as Asian scrap prices lost their momentum and freight rates posted declines. Coking coal prices held their value or slightly increased, while iron ore climbed sharply. MBRs Global Steel Price Index declined 0.2% week-on-week as steel prices continued their downward trend.
