Early 2012 economic conditions have taken their toll on aluminium demand, and while we continue to anticipate growth this year it will be sub-trend.  Coming off the back of two years of particularly strong growth – 17.1% in 2010; 9.2% in 2011 – producers and traders alike will really feel like the bottom has fallen out of the market in some regions, but there are many instances where this is not the case.
