Early 2012 economic conditions have taken their toll on aluminium demand, and while we continue to anticipate growth this year it will be sub-trend. Coming off the back of two years of particularly strong growth 17.1% in 2010; 9.2% in 2011 producers and traders alike will really feel like the bottom has fallen out of the market in some regions, but there are many instances where this is not the case.
