LME stocks extend their run of 17-year highs: Zinc Highlights


It was noteworthy last week that there were rare signs of genuine physical demand, probably prompted by the fall in prices, but by far most stock activity continues to be related to financing deals, as LME stocks near to 1m tonne mark

LME stocks climbed a net 19,950 tonnes last week, reaching 933,600 tonnes on Friday. Most of the 27,275 tonnes of zinc that went into warehouses arrived in New Orleans (24,100 tonnes), while Johor and Port Klang saw smaller landings.
