Flat product prices break seasonal trends: Global Steel Market Highlights


European flat product prices are stable, but below last year's levels

Prices in the flat products market have seemingly reached a plateau in Europe, while prices in other countries have begun to descend. Seasonality still remains a pivotal point in the market, but whether seasonal trends will result in prices reaching historical peaks is looking less likely, as we have witnessed a decline in AMM Research’s sister company MBR’s flat product price index. This year, the index has fallen short of last year’s peak by 17%.
