The outlook for charge chrome is improving: Alloy Highlights
Prices of high-carbon ferrochrome have edged higher as production cuts implemented in late 2011 are starting to restrict supply to the market.
Q1 charge chrome prices have slipped $0.05/lb to $1.15/lb after holding steady at $1.20/lb through Q4 2011. Prices have remained steady through January and there is a view that with some positive signs of a return in demand in the US and an improvement in the Chinese economy following the Lunar New Year prices could push higher in February.
