Winter weather and the (on average) two-week holiday account for a slow December as customers shut their warehouses and reduce stock.
All round uncertainty means an anxious time for most extruders only those dealing in hard alloys can escape the feeling that the seasonal slowdown could become a longer hiatus. November saw no improvement to the mostly sluggish markets that have characterised the second half, but it was no worse either theres something to be said for stability! A few (possibly temporary) opportunities have opened up in the gaps created by Sapas rationalisation of its French and Belgian plants.
