Raw materials costs decline sharply: Stainless Steel Market Analysis
As we forecasted last month, Chinese stainless steel prices continued to slide on weaker demand as the market confronts softening raw materials prices and increasing stock levels.
The European market has seen further weakness as transaction prices softened on the back of lower raw material costs. Nickel prices on the London Metal Exchange have fallen to six month lows as physical demand retreated after heavy restocking over the first quarter.
