Surcharges rise in June: Stainless Steel


As the base price rises implemented last month have held, we have seen transaction prices rise by around 7% this month; MBR expects higher prices next month.

We have seen June surcharges rise in both the USA and Europe - by $189/tonne and €64/tonne ($100/tonne) respectively for 304 materials - as both nickel and key alloy prices have been on an upward trend in the last month. We do expect that surcharges will continue to rise by a similar or slightly larger margins in July.
