Chinese domestic pig iron prices edge up: Iron Metallics Highlights


CIS pig iron export prices steady

MBR understands that domestic prices in China have firmed in the last week. Prices are generally in the range of Rmb2,400-2,500/tonne ($351-365/tonne). In Shanxi province prices are slightly lower at Rmb2,370/tonne ($346/tonne) ex-works, including 17% VAT. In Hebei province, pig iron producers are offering material at Rmb2,450-2,470/tonne ex-works inclusive of VAT.
