Prices move up after months of falling: Vanadium highlights
Signs of a slow vanadium market are still very clear as the volume of transactions remains low.
Last month ended with ferro-vanadium (70-80%) falling to $18.20-18.50/kg in-warehouse Rotterdam under pressure from desperate sales and scarce buyers. Although ferro-vanadium took a further dip at the beginning of May it has since risen due to the sudden surge in Asian demand throughout May, and now sells for $18.50-21.00/kg. This is the first price uptrend we have seen for ferro-vanadium prices since June 2008.
