Chines ore prices continue to decline: Iron Ore Analysis
Iron ore prices have continued to decline in China over the last week. Domestic iron ore concentrate price are down more than $20/tonne month-onmonth at around $194/tonne; and the price for imported iron ore has declined faster still. Indian export offers for iron ore fines (63.5% Fe content) are down as low as $120/tonne fob, which is equivalent to a cfr China prices of around $149/tonne. These latest changes mean that delivered prices for Indian fines have dropped by about $30/ tonne, or between 15-20%, since late June.
